Hacking masterpost

If you want to continue using homebrew, stop updating. Nintendo is doing everything they can to stop it. When 10.4 or whatever it will be comes out, I’m sure homemenuhax and browserhax will be patched for a while. Don’t update.

Also when messing with game saves, always keep a backup. Make backups regularly.

I’ve gotten a lot of questions on how to get the new Browserhax to work so I thought I’d make a little guide that will hopefully help get you guys ready to hack.

For information purposes: I’m using an old 3DS on 10.3 firmware.

Homemenuhax!

Hey friends, I know we are ALL stoked about the new hack exploit. Within the next few days, I imagine, Nintendo will probably catch wind of this and want to patch up the broswer once again. So, I’m going to teach you all how to use homemenuhax!

So, obviously your first steps will be to download browser hacks. There are a few helpful tutorials floating around, but I used this one. Once that’s done, we can move on to homemenu.

1.) Download the homemenuhax kit here (scroll down and it will be listed as menuhax_v2.1.zip), and put into your 3ds folder on your memory card. 

2.) Once that’s done, open up broswer hax and homebrew. Scroll down until you see the menuhax manager. Select that.

3.) Once it takes you to a screen that says “menuhax manager”, press a. The download should start and only take a few seconds. Once it’s finished, press start and reboot your 3ds.

4.) When you turn it back on and before the system boots to the main menu screen, hold L. 

And, there you have it! Now you have homemenuhax :) If you have any questions, please shoot me an IM or ask. I’d be happy to help!
