Growing up, I remember looking at the magazines at my aunt hair salon.They were a staple in the black communities at the time. You always looked to see what hairstyles was on the rise and who was a trendsetter. As you can see Aaliyah made the front cover several times. She was definitely a trendsetter and no one could pull the “side part swoop” better than Aaliyah.
