Moving!

I'm sad to be leaving this account behind, considering it was my beginning here on Tumblr, but I can't say I regret the decision. In the long run I know moving will bring me content and happiness -- two things I struggled to find here, where I was constantly trying to do things for others rather than myself. The new blog can be found here. The URL remains the same, due to the theme a friend made for me, but could change in the future. If it does I'll be sure to update the link on this page.

There are many issues looming over my head here (which can’t be shaken, no matter how I try to lose them); most of which come down to organization, and my own inability to stop bending backwards for others. I’ve tried, over the last few months, to keep this from happening and, admittedly, always for stupid reasons. A friend was moving their blog and it felt rude to do it at the same time, someone would convince me not to, I’d tell myself the disorganization wasn’t that bad — so on and so forth.

In the end, what it came down to was whether or not I was happy here…and when it became clear I wasn’t I knew it was time. Hopefully the new blog will provide the control I had lost here, and with stricter rules it should eliminate some of my everyday load.

For those wondering, most of my threads are being dropped. A few will be placed in the “keep,” pile, but I’m not going to continue holding onto over 50 drafts — if I didn’t have muse for them three months ago, I won’t tomorrow. However, if we do have a plotted interaction going and you want to make sure I consider keeping it, please shoot me a message on the new account. As for asks? None of them are surviving, I’m sorry.

Sometimes I really, really dislike the people on this site. Is it really that hard to be rational and mature about things? Jfc. Seeing a close friend leave because children don't like the way things are done on another person's blog -- ugh. I can't even summarize how angry I am right now.

This also tacks onto the growing displeasure for my own fandom, to be quite honest.

Thinking about getting rid of a lot of drafts. Lately the muse has just been....spotty due to offline evens, and a lot of the threads in there have been sitting for months. I'm not sure if I will, considering I want to get them done, but if it happens it happens. Guess this is like a heads up in case it does come to pass??? I dunno.

People shouldn’t confuse being composed with being okay. People can appear happy, composed, and still suffering. If appearing like that is vital to getting through, it might even seem impossible for them to truly express how they feel - so no one should ever invalidate another person’s feelings saying “oh but you seem alright/happy”.
