People starving when tons of unsold food is thrown away globally because people couldn’t afford to purchase the food, that’s violence.
People dying and going bankrupt to pay for their healthcare, that’s violence.
People being evicted from their homes when there are more houses than there are houseless people, that’s violence.

Jesse Williams just gave one of the most powerful speeches we’ve ever heard for Black Lives Matter
Watch the full speech to see why Samuel L. Jackson called it worthy of one of the great civil rights speeches of the 1960s.

^ smh. there will always be people who try to diminish the message or belittle it to fit their narrow worldview. did you even listen to what he said? or you just saw a person of colour on a stage at an award show celebrating black talent and your ears interpreted that as the bullshit you wanted to hear. because rather than actually listen, you wanna twist the message to something simple enough for you to understand. rather than see outside the blinds, you wanna stay in the dark.
my brother just got off work and i heard him run up the steps and down the hall and then burst into my room to show me this
