Official Move Post

Well. The day’s here. After fully converting Luca from a FNAF Character to an OC, I’m ready, and rather pleased to announce my new blog’s name to the world.

Moving Update!

I’d like to announce that construction of Luca’s new home is nearly complete, after I mess around with the theme a bit, it should all be done!

I’m really excited to show everyone all the new stuff I’m going to be doing with Luca now that he’s fandomless, I hope everyone enjoys it! ^^

Soon, I’ll be turning afewblocksfromfredbears into an archive, although I still may post on it if FNAF related matters come up.

Just as a reminder, I WILL Be releasing the URL for Luca’s new blog for those interested and I plan on reblogging the post several times, and giving the URL to all of my closer mutuals personally over IM before making the full move over to the new blog so that everyone will get a chance to see it.

My Stance on Defnafizing/Defandomization

Everyone’s been making posts like this so I’ll give my two cents on it before I go back to work.

I want to say this right here, right now, loud and clear. If you don’t want to/feel like you shouldn’t defandomize or leave the fandom for other pursuits; then don’t! Don’t! If defandomizing makes you too sad/stressed out, or if you feel like you still want to RP FNAF, don’t defandomize! Don’t at all!

The reason people are leaving is because of the current chaotic state of the fandom combined with the butchering of the lore by Scott, as it stood, we had the choice to follow canon, to not and create/establish our lores as AUs/pre sisloc, or take our characters elsewhere. So, some of us went down different paths. I’ve seen all three exercised. None of them are wrong decisions.

You should never feel PRESSURED to defandomize. If you want to change your characters into fandomless OCs, do it on your own accord, do it on the grounds that YOU want to.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, I’d like to say, defandomization is not the end of the world for any character. In fact, making a character entirely original comes with a lot of benefit! The creator isn’t tempted to adhere to the rules of canon, so, they can do quite literally whatever they want with a character!

Change is hard, it can be a difficult thing to embrace, but, most defandomized characters will still end up rping with in-fandom people, I know this from personal experience with people and my own agenda with defandomizing.

If you’re scared or angry because of change, it’s ok to be. That’s a normal thing. Never let yourself think that isn’t normal. Remember though, this is all supposed to be for fun! So, have fun with it! Let your ideas be yours! If you want to adhere to canon, awesome, good on ya! If you want to let your ideas be an AU? awesome! Power to ya! You wanna make your characters fandomless? That’s great too!

Just remember, we’re all here to have a good time!

I want to write for Luca, not write papers entirely in Spanish, study thermodynamics, annotate articles and do pointless Math that won’t even help me in my incredibly bleak future of being a grocery store restocker.

Moving announcement

Luca will be moving accounts momentarily to become a fandomless OC, although I will still keep afewblocksfromfredbears as an archive and ‘preserve’ it in case I ever decide to come back to FNAF. 

I will release the URL (and message it to my closer mutuals) once the new account has completed construction and once I complete conversion to a nearly-complete state, or at least one that can be developed through rp.

It’s been a good run, FNAF.

So, I have some news.

I’m writing this post with an extremely heavy heart. I really am, but, I have a bit of bad... or good news, it depends on who you are, really.

Luca might be defnafizing.

What this means is that all the FNAF pretenses will be stripped from him and his loreverse. He no longer will be a FNAF4 crying child. His personality, character flaws and headcanons unrelated to Five Nights at Freddy’s however, will remain entirely intact.

Things that may/will change are his last name, history, family and his respective family life, nightmare world, possessions, fears and anything else related to FNAF.

I understand if this comes as a shock/upsetting to some people, I understand entirely. This is not easy for me to say or talk about, but, seeing as the fandom’s in a chaotic state and everyone’s loreverses are being ruined.. I fear the healthy thing for me to do would be to jump off the wagon and take my own path.

As of now, nothing is stated or happening. But I want everyone to know, I am making kind of an ‘escape plan’ if things go too far south.

This does not mean I will cease rping with people from the Fandom, nor that I will stop associating or affiliating myself with the fandom. All it means is that Luca may change a bit as a character to preserve his character and all I’ve built for him in the best way I possibly can. I’m doing this for Luca, and for me.

I fully intend to keep relationships and pre-established encounters with other blogs’ characters canon as I can. I may even continue threads I’ve already started WITH a hypothetical new blog should this happen.

What do you think happened? I am still confused.

People are saying that Mike Afton (Eggs Benedict), the WALKING AND TALKING CORPSE became Springtrap. And, people are taking this in the direction that William Afton (The REAL Purple Guy) is not Springtrap.

Do CORPSES THAT HAVE ALL OF THEIR INSIDES SCOOPED OUT BY CLOWN ROBOTS BLEED? AFTER THE TIME IT WOULD TAKE TO DECAY? No.

Purple Guy died inside of Springtrap. The “They didn’t recognize me” thing in the last minigame refers to the events of SISTER LOCATION. Not FNAF3. The minigame was meant to clear up the events of Sister Location, but because EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEVERYTHING IN THIS FUCKING LORE HAS TO BE CONNECTED, PEOPLE ARE GOING AND SAYING STUPID SHIT LIKE

Oh right! The phone! Truthfully he had forgotten all about that in his quest to at least get Luca out of the cold. “Sure thing, kiddo. It’s on the table next to Lucy’s cage.” Lucy being his pet rat.

Meanwhile Vick got started on making the hot chocolate. Really it was just the powdered kind that you put in the microwave, so it wasn’t anything too special. No marshmallows either. Oh well. It was still the thought that counted. 

While the hot chocolate was heating up, Vick grabbed a blanket from his room and left it on the couch for when Luca was done on the phone.

Luca looked over at the table in question and walked over, taking off his mittens and setting them beside the phone before he picked up the receiver and punched in the number and began talking.

“H-hey Alex...”

“W-where am I?... W-well-...”

“M-Mom and Dad have been looking for me?....”

“T-tell them I’m-..”

“W-well-...”

“O-Oh golly... t-tell them I’ll be home in the morning though... I-I’m staying at.... a friend’s house.........”

“Stop laughing.... I-I have f-friends...”

“Ale-...”

From there the dial tone made it obvious the teen wasn’t interested in listening to him anymore. Luca sniffled as he put down the receiver.

“Love you too big brother...” Luca sulked to himself as he put down the receiver. He put his coat on the back of one of the chairs in the dining room and sat down with his head down, not really caring about how cold it was. Almost as if in his eyes, he deserved it.
