I agree! Right now it kinda seems like she’s becoming Taichi 2.0 though, which I really hope isn’t the case because that’s redundant. And also because imo Taichi’s arc has been dragging.
Unfortunately I feel like she’ll just keep pining after Eiji until he fully gets together with Fujimura and properly (?) turns her down for good.
maybe I’m remembering wrong but has Eiji actually rejected her in plain words? please no more, “why would you like someone like me?” “I don’t think I’m ready for love.” Those kind of blanket statements are just… too broad… vaguely hopeful. Even if she realizes that he doesn’t like her the same way. ugh. I just want him to tell her that. ok I think I was probably remembering this wrong but I’ll leave the text here anyway lol.
What I’d want to see: they become book buddies and genuine friends. Or, even, they don’t become friends. That’s fine too because sometimes when you have real feelings for someone and they don’t return them, it’s too hard to become friends with them.
What I personally don’t want to see is her getting together with Taichi. Er, I guess it really depends on how it’s done but if it’s something like, “well I’ll give you a chance because I never got one with Eiji” ngl I will be unhappy. That’d just be patronizing and honestly, not true to herself. So I’ll want anything to happen but that lol.
@seekmywayout Yes, and tbh Taichi is my least fave like he is probably the best person in the manga but I find his support Ikezawa choice to be eye rolling. Which is probably why my fave male character is Nogi 😂 (unrelated but I really enjoyed Ikezawa x Nogi that one time, but I doubt they'll go that way either). The Taichi/Ikezawa/Eiji situatuion was indeed dragging and also kinda off, everything was spinning between the other leads, Ikezawa seems nosy to a lot of people and I can't blame them, she feels like such an outsider to the plot until now. And once we get some cute blushing...she helps Eiji towards another girl. I really hope they go with 'it just happened' & then they develop feelings rather than they liked each other already cause it makes little sense or I just saw too much of Eiji being annoyed. I also feel Eiji & Fujimura will ran from each other for 20 more chapters while Ikezawa becomes a horrible, pushy third wheel 😭 I really want to be wrong & we actually get a good arc for her but I feel author favours Fujimura in every sense. Eiji kinda rejected her but also seemed open enough for it not to be a never. I can't see them as friends tbh but like Fujimura, I do want Ikezawa to have friends? Idk they seem completely alone all the time and only focused on their love life now. I wanted all 3 girls to become friends as well but I feel it'd be too weird now. I already talked about Taichi but same, I hope they don't go that way at all. I think she already rejected his help after talking with Nogi? Cause them talking about Eiji was just NG to Taichi, so idk how & why she would be interested in him. It can happen but I feel they have little chemistry together. I made it too long I think heh!
