Santos telling Langdon that he needs to tell the whole ED he stole the drugs is insane. Just from a legal perspective, why would the hospital want him to do that? It could open them up to any number of lawsuits either justified or opportunistic. Even his apology to Louie and admitting to a patient that he is an addict and stole his pills is crazy. Those hospital lawyers want him to shut the hell up, get cleaned up, and do his job.

Ted Lasso Finale Fix it Below 👇

Now that I have sat and thought about the Ted Lasso finale, this is my true issue with the short sighted ending. I fully respect the Jason’s vision, but it’s clear the writing wasn’t finished before they started shooting. If they had finished real drafts of the whole story before shooting the season, they wouldn’t be rushing to cobble an ending, they would have been able to see the whole season to streamline the narrative, and could have had basically the exact same ending (Ted in Kansas, Roy as head coach) while also respecting the continuity of the story or offending half of their fandom.

Essentially, starting with Rebecca & Ted in the bleachers. “You go, I go” should have been followed with her reaching for his hand & him taking it in. This could still be read as supportive best friends, or it could be more, and fans could interpret how they want.

Then at the airport, Rebecca gets on the plane - she already bought the ticket. In a Flash forward she’s could be overseeing development teams for KC Sporting. Here, Ted’s coaching & Henry plays for the U10. This allows Ted to be home with his son, and also allows him to continue inspiring boys and young men as a coach —his calling. Rebecca would now be a worldwide name in football/soccer business showing women have a place in sports operations and expanding the sport in America. This is consistent with her participation in Akufo global football league talks and her growing love for the sport, all make sense. It also doesn’t waste her comment about going abroad, her mother’s reaction to Ted leaving, her first class ticket, and their cosmic connection.

It also leaves them ambiguous and there’s no need to commit to defining their relationship- appeasing the Tedbecca truther’s and the Tedbecca Friends crowd. They could be in love or it could be a business opportunity, they are a team. But, at least Ted isn’t alone. She still has 51% ownership of AFC Richmond, so they’d both still be connected to the AFCR family. It also leaves the door open to possibilities for spin-offs. There could be friendlies between KC Sporting and AFC Richmond development teams…etc. It also opens a road for Higgins’s growth as character, with a new chapter & more responsibility with full operational control of AFC Richmond. Higgins should have been sitting in the office when Keeley reveals women’s team proposal by KBPR -with some nod to Rebecca - either her involvement in funding KBPR, or on a conference call acting as the 51% owner abroad.

I’m sure people could still be offended - it’s not an open love declaration. But it’s way better than what we got, which was a disorganized mess with weird fan service lines thrown in that just felt lazy (Keely’s “is everyone decent” for example). Sorry for the tl;dr.

I think I figured out the Midge and Dan Egan photos. What if they are shooting a movie or a holiday special or something. We know that if Getty Images is able to publish a picture of it then it’s not a major spoiler, so what if this is Midge getting her career back on track. They obviously can’t just drop what happened with Lenny, it was huge. I don’t see her just moving on after it either. He’s the one that finally shook some sense into her. It’s also clear this isn’t some one night thing to him either if he’s tearing up about her career. So yeah, I don’t think this is a real kiss. It is a work kiss.

Something I thought about. In Gilmore girls, everyone is a quick talker. Lorelei, her mom, even Lorelei’s exes: Chris, Max, Jason — all fast talkers. But not Luke, Luke is a slow talker.

In TMMM again we have lots of fast talkers, Midge, her parents, Joel and his family, even Ben spoke fast. But not Lenny. Lenny slows everything down (in a good way) and there’s the parallel. Lenny is Midge’s Luke. 💞

Also both actors were originally written to only appear briefly and then go but the writers enjoyed seeing the chemistry with Lauren/Lorelei and Scott/Luke and Rachel/Midge and Luke/Lenny respectively, that the characters stayed in the show. 💛
