The WuLords, a Pittsburgh-based rap group, are bringing back the true meaning and origins of hip-hop in their unique and WuTang-influenced music. Check out their fresh but true-to-hip-hop sound.

Check out this spoken word artist. She speaks on the tribulations that many African Americans encounter when going through the school system. How many (not all) of us can grow up in a school culture than encourages us all to sink as opposed to swimming. She speaks on the responses when a black person’s vernacular goes from slang to “proper”. Hear her out!

AfroArt PGH is all about redefining what it means to black. Or possibly what it doesn’t mean to be black. Actually, it’s about letting our audience know that what it means to be black varies from person to person. To imply that the color of one’s skin is the content of one’s character.... well we know MLK had a lot to say about that.
