Nothing makes you black in this world. So no I don’t want your basic ass to say “let me be black.” Would you let me be white? Let me be Asian? Let me be Native? Let me be Latinx? No, because you’d feel disrespected and disgusted that I degraded your race and heritage into something anyone can be. Black is not a personality trait or costume you’re still your race just like we are ours.
