*dream* I am hiking with a bunch of other people and my father through huge grassy hills. I see a stone deity floating on a hill across from where we are walking. When I finally get to the stone deity it disappears, I stand where it use to be and the ground starts to shake. I hear a female voice that transitions to a male voice coming from the sky telling me that I have to ascend. I start to feel bad thinking about all the things I would have to give up if I do, I look over to my father and decide that I won’t. The voice tells me that the next time it comes I will have to accept ascension without fear, the ground stops shaking and I wake up.
I made a new twitter a couple of days ago and purposely sought out self proclaimed ‘spiritualist’, hoping to be hipped to some new game but the most im seeing is a couple dozen new/full moon manifestation rituals or some heat treated rocks and tarot cards spread out on a tie dye blanket....I wanna see/share some lived experiences....

Guardians of life: The indigenous women fighting oil exploitation in the Amazon
Felipe Jacome’s set of photos Amazon: Guardians of Life documents the struggles of indigenous women defending the Ecuadoran Amazon through portraits combined with the powerful written testimonies. The words across each photograph are a self-reflection of the lives of women, their culture, history and traditions, and especially about the reasons for fighting oil drilling on their ancestral lands. The color designs framing each portrait use the same natural dyes found in face paint to expand on the symbols and designs that reflect their personalities, courage and struggle. (via)
