The Lesbian Hunger Games
It started when Katniss volunteered for Prim, she had a following of people who looked up to her. Then she became the Girl on Fire. Peeta confessed his love for her in the interviews, but Katniss took this opportunity to come out as a lesbian. The crowd roared, and she became a hero for other LGBTQIA+ people in all the districts. Katniss was destined to be a hero, it seemed.
The goddesses had been prepared to die in the Games if necessary for their cause, but it wasn’t necessary. Johanna had another plan. She had orchestrated a rescue from the Games and rescued as many of the tributes as she could, including Glimmer, Marvel, Clove, Finch, Rue, Thresh, Katniss, and Peeta. They were brought to District 13, where some of the other victors, Katniss’ family, and more rebels had joined to start the rebellion.
