Travis, a silly 4 cylinder beast with all wheel drive, has been the best car a car can be to a girl. Almost 9 years ago, I quit my job, moved out, and went on a 3 month solo roadtrip with my dog Lando, sleeping in the car along the way. After that trip, I was so inspired (and lucky enough) to travel more, which is how I discovered my passion for sustainability. ⁣ ⁣ I knew this day was coming but I'm still bummed to say goodbye. Happy World Bee Day! I finally figured out that I wanted to work in sustainability, specifically waste - this girl loves trash. But then I got to see so many sides of sustainability during my time at Stanford and I fell in love with bees. What’s the point of making this post? Sympathy, pity, and well wishes (although I wholeheartedly appreciate the love and support from everyone) won’t change a god damn thing. Lando was taken too soon, which isn’t fair.. but fairness matters not. Out of the infinite void came the Big Bang, in those recent 13.8 billion years, humans have been around for but a minuscule amount of that time. I have been apart of that time for any event smaller, infantsimle part of that time. How did I get so lucky, in the scheme of the vast, unknown universe, to not only be put on earth at the same point in time as you, but also the same hemisphere, the same state?!
