No one has ever made me as happy as I have, myself. No matter the circumstances, I’ve always been the one to pull myself up out of the dirt and mud. Once you realize you’re alone you have one of two choices… 1, wallow in self-pity–begging every passersby for strength and reassurance. Or 2, accept the fact that you’re alone and get the fuck up and enjoy your life… alone. People are not reliable sources for happiness. They’re beautiful but beautiful from afar. They’re good company at times but for the most part you are your only true and reliable friend. You can only count on yourself. There are many people in my life that I love dearly but deep down I know I’m alone. And I’m okay with that now. Life teaches you things the hard way and one thing I’ve learned is that you are born alone, you live alone, and you die alone… which is one of the only truths I belive in wholeheartedly–without a doubt. Some say that’s a bleak way of looking at life… I say it’s a realistic and honorable way of looking at life. Honorable because no matter how painful the truth, you still face it, accept it, and move on and enjoy what you can in the meantime. You don’t have to live your life in blind faith, blind hope, and blind positivity to truly live and enjoy it. 7.12.2017
