We steal away from each other, sell it back to each other, and convince ourselves that our lives have thus been improved.

A ship whose hull had washed away, it seemed. Though he was before me; still steady tied to the mast of his faith. 

In April of this year, I came across a man without a home on the streets of Northampton. A wheelchair-bound former carpenter who went bankrupt after loosing mobility.  One sign around his neck read "Random acts of kindness welcome.”  Another lay by his feet. 

I started for him, wishing at least to satisfy his hunger 

Though, what we found was nothing so temporal

a few words set us into a beautiful burgeoning spiral

to navigate ephemera 

We understand that every moment is a product of those before it. We see that our meeting is a culmination of all that has been. 

He told me his heart, thanked me, and blessed my soul as I left. He said that he knew that it was time for him to depart soon

He had no qualms about this
