i keep trying to divert my manic trans jax energy into my budding interest in the backrooms so im not just sitting around being jittery and insane but i still have to avoid movie spoilers and all the "theory" or "explanation" videos ive found so far for the webseries by kanepixels are all NOTTTTT on the level of historical or literary engagement that i need. im talking absolutely abysmally tiny crumbs of discussion regarding themes or cold war politics.

Yeah honestly. As someone who hasn't seen the webseries, and only really touched the SCP-esque wiki when it was new .. .. . Backrooms requires one to forge their own path. T-T Gotta slice a little chunk out of the setting and go insane about it on your own + some friends.

I'm talking like. My moment was thinking about how surviving in the Poolrooms would actually work. Translating it to ocean depths. Not a biologist at all and yet.... it is intriguing to think about. If it's not that deep, start diggin!!! It's my favourite thing ever I love digging holes

I think the movie will give you a lot to think about on that front, though, it has a solid worldbuilding hook.
