Final, “Male Femininity”, collage; For this piece I used Line and Focal point to give structure. I used an image of Billy Porter, who is famously known for breaking stereotypes that at placed on males. He shows his feminine side to others unapologetically. I used the black lines as the background and to make the focal point stand out more. My purpose to this piece is to show that men can wear dresses, makeup and what ever else they please. Without having to give up their “masculine” side.

Final, "Male Femininity", collage; Lastly, for my final cut and paste I used Parallelism and textures. For the textures I wanted to use soft, colorful and smooth textures. The texture on the bottom is actually in fact lipstick shades. As for the blue texture above I wanted to use the silky fabric to give an illusion of being soft to the touch. The red and green texture is silk and soft texture as well all to show the males feminine side. As for the male in the picture he probably can be seen as the ideal masculine image ,however with the texture I wanted to show both strong and soft side of males. As for my title I went for a straight forward approach.

Final project, “Male Femininity”, Collage; For my final I wanted to show men’s feminine side and how beautiful it can be. I used the representational images of lipsticks, heels, and nail polish to show that males can wear as they please, including items like these. I put several photos of males wearing dresses and long hair to give a clear representation of males being able to be their unapologetic self's. For this piece I played with color and common fate.

The artist deals with the figure/ground relationship by using the large figures in the grey and the background. I can say this work allows my eye separate the grey figures from the background surrounding it. As for emphasis the artists draws my eyes to the yellow background on the right.The artist creates a type of common fate by having not only similar shapes ,but seem to be face the same direction indicating a same fate. My interpretation of this work says the word GO to me, perhaps as in go for what you want in life. The colors and the arrow at the bottom he uses makes me think as well common fate to right perhaps.

I choose this artwork not only because it’s eye catching ,but its similarity and contrast is interesting.The contrast is powerful and attrasts the viwers attention with the bright color standing out compared to the color surrounded by it. The artist makes a connection from the art piece to his title by stating just what the audience will see, indicating a fight.
