as someone who has seen some people look really good and still pretty active at 49 years old, i don't think it's too crazy that Leon looks like that in requiem. and the people i know are regular men with regular jobs. they're active and some of them do work out just a little bit. so if we're talking about Leon, who is an agent, who's kept himself in shape his whole adult life, and who is still apparently on missions, his physicality and visuals in requiem are absolutely fine. and for hair... i mean, he does have a little bit of white/gray hair in some lighting. he just must be blessed with good hair too.

also, there isn't any actor who i would cast as Leon. the first time i saw him, i dont really think any actor came to mind. however, once i saw some people mentioning Jenson Ackles, i was like oh he's not a bad cast. and he's 48! If anything Leon does actually look a little older than Jensen, so... and i also seen some people mentioning Mads Mikkelsen for an older cast. agree. thousand times agree. idk what it is, but it works, even though i wouldn't say they look tremendously alike.

I cant be the only one that thinks this but... 100% Ada knew what she was doing when she let go of Leon's hands and fell to the depths. She knew she would survive. (She has that device, uh what's that called? That rappel hook/grappler hook? Yknow?!) From all my watches of any time we see her, I cant remember seeing that device strapped to her (but I could be wrong, I havent played any of the games. Can someone let me know?).

Also she knew she would have to cut off any kind of connection/relationship/friendship with Leon. There is no way they can be together whole on opposite sides. And OBVIOUSLY Leon would never work for umbrella esque companies and OBVIOUSLY as of right now, once can tell Ada loves the freedom that comes with being a freelance mercenary. So ever since her and Leon entered that little cable car scene in remake to go to Nest, from then on until she falls, that all fell within her plan to deceive him... no matter how much she liked him. They do like each other, 100%, that is shown in all the games. But there is no way they would give up their current jobs to be together. Cuz i saw one x post that was saying she didnt know she would survive. Yes, yes she did. I believe that with my whole heart and unless the developers/writers themselves tell me otherwise, thats my theory.

#i keep waiting for someone to address the '18th century looms were huge' claim#like sure some were#but the fact that textile mills had been invented doesn't mean that all home weaving ceased#indeed people still weave for fun or profit in this the 21st century#smaller looms were still being built and used in the 18th century just as smaller looms are still being built and used today#and that's without considering the existence of inkle/tape/band looms which were/are used for making narrower woven ribbons for trimming etc#small 18th century looms absolutely exist

My wife did a lot of hand crafts while we were dating. After we got engaged, my father piped up that at least she didn't have a spinning wheel. We put it in the doorway the first time my parents came to visit.

Her loom is packed away at the moment so she can work on an uncountable number of knitting projects and metalwork at the moment.

Not even once. You start with "Oh, I'd love to learn the drop spindle" And the next minute your home office is occupied by a loom, you're planting flax in the garden, and considering the logistics of owning an alpaca.

the whole "you know she's working for neo-umbrella, you know what that means?" "yeah, i do" "and you're still going to protect this woman?" "i am." UGH WHY COULDN'T THE REAL ADA BE THERE

btw, i'm so glad they put distinguishing features on ada and not-ada (did she have a name?). otherwise I would have no clue who is the real ada.

i'm so invested in resident evil lore. but i still love how the fans can still play around with their own ideas and stories.
