Karna x DuryodanaÂ
Not cool, Aham Sharma, not cool saying things like that!
Defining Moments- Karna 1 out of ?Â
Now every time i look at the sky and see the sun this is what I hearÂ
You took my hand and stood by me, when I was blinded by unfortunate fate. You took my hand and prayed with me, while I struggled with my fears . You took my hand and dried my tears, when I cried over it all. You took my hand and helped me understand, when I questioned my own purpose You took my hand and made me a promise, I’d never walk alone again. You took my hand and mended my friendship, when I was too stubborn to say anything. You took my hand and made me smile, when all I could think about were my mistakes. You took my hand and made me see, that God has a special plan for me. Now take my hand and never let go, because our friendship means more than you’ll ever know -AthithyaÂ
StarBharat: Â Karna + (and -) Kavach
Requested by a beautiful Anon [who persuaded me to make it with Aham Sharma’s puppy eyes].
If Arjun was the personification of Karna’s humiliation and life long struggle, Adhiratha was Karna’s personification of his honour, compassion, generosity and loyalty. Karna was fortunate to have a father to always be his role model and if not guide him on the right path, became his conscious. His adoptive father gave him the freedom to chose his own destiny, which parents to this day have trouble doing. Even the Pandavas didn’t have that.Â
“The simplest acts of kindness are by far more powerful than a thousand heads bowing in prayer.” ― Mahatma GhandiÂ
Off screen- Karna’s battle with Ghatotkacha (aham’s twitter posts)
Yeh kaisi duvidha hai
kaisi yeh vipada hai
yeh dharma hai balidaan hai
apne hi apno ke
sukh leke dukh dene
adharma hai yah vidhaan hai
YE! you walk away like a boss! The  amount of crap he had to go through cause of this woman! SO FRUSTRATING!Â
So, I also appreciate Karna’s confidence, but I could do without the [semi-] character-bashing.
I understand. Karna had to face much insult and eventually his death because of Kunti’s mistake, but why do we allow this (and Draupadi’s distribution-thing) to compel us to put-down her character so often? As much as I wish she didn’t do some of the things she did, I never fail to overlook her good qualities. She had so many of them. Her name doesn’t appear within the Panchakanya group without reason!
Kunti struggled her entire life, but she never gave up. Sure, she remained quiet about Karna. Think about it, though: Â Would society have accepted her (or any of her sons) if she told it about Karna? As horrible as it may sound (and though some of you may hate me for saying this), her fears were justified.
It’s always easy to assess a situation when we’re looking in from the outside.Â
