Backing away slowly when they didn’t respond Keith spoke again. “Are you alright.. You’re not going to hurt anyone.. are you?” Slowly backs away. “Whats your name.. Do you have a name? I’m Keith.. no one will hurt you a along as you mean no harm.. Please say something..” 

She stood like a soldier at attention for a long drawn out moment just staring at him. A frown pulled at her mouth. What language was this again? She raised a hand and placed it on her chest. “Ahdom.” Her hand went back to her side. “Englesh?” She tilted her head and waited as she tried to parse all the words to his questions together.

           setting the tea kettle to the side, she keeps to her knees with a soft smile. a light chirping sound could be heard which instantly makes her expression brighten up.  “  oh, isu !!  don’t think I forgot about you  !!  “ a bird flies over to the girl, landing on her shoulder as aillah lifts up a cracker, holding it close to the animal so it could eat the snack.

“You like birds?” She tilted her head and watched the small creature eat. “I’ve never seen one so close.”

The old man kept something locked away from sight. He had been troublesome when it came to business. Some thought he was good at business. Others thought it was luck. But ultimately it came down to one really good bodyguard. He smiled his best piece in his game of chess stood off to the side. He had grown comfortable with them there in the corner of his office. The Egyptian tombs his bodyguard lead him to were a good start to his fortune. With a contented sigh. He stood from his desk. It was time to retire for the night.

“Follow. I want you to stand outside my door tonight. Let no one enter.”  

Decked in black with their hood up the bodyguard nodded. With that, he went to bed none the wiser that he wouldn’t be in possession of something very soon.

                     right. aillah had been around her friends before completely abandoning them the very moment that she took notice to the other appearing. they were more than likely going to bombard her with questions whenever they decided to return to their dorms. aillah shakes her head, attempting to reassure the other female that things would be alright. “ they only speak English, ” she explains. “ but if you would like to meet them, I can translate for you ?? “ 

“I will do as you see best.” She smiled gently and softly grasped Aillah’s hand. Aillah could ask for the world and she would give it to her.

          the girl didn’t speak back, it wasn’t her place to do such after all. this was what she was meant to do, this was who she was meant to be. aillah didn’t know life in any other way. so she sat, prepped perfect upon her knees as she sets up the tea placement, to serve if it did end up being requested. “ very well, miss ahdom. “

She stared for a moment before turning back to her books. She couldn’t understand the girl or why she was here. What does one do when all they know to do is take orders? Why would she give them?

Watching this statue seem to come to life, Keith backed away in shock. “What.. “ Seeing the statue become a living female who suddenly gasped for air he took a step forward wanting to help her despite how odd this was. “Are you.. alright?” Seeing them pick up her weapon he backed away only to hear the shopkeep scream.”Hey hey.. don’t panic…” 

When was the last time she even breathed air? The tall woman stumbled forward blinking rapidly in the unnatural lights. A wave of dizziness brought her to a knee. Where was she now? What place on earth had she woken up to? With a shake of her head, her wild red tresses and dreads came free of the last bits of stone.  Her weapons were put away with a practiced ease.

A fine dust still clung to her as she stood to her full height. Piercing golden yellow eyes with round black pupils opened and took in the surroundings of the small shop. She rolled her broad shoulders and popped a few kinks out of her neck. With a steadying breath, the achingly human looking woman stepped forward.

Her heart shaped face was painted with black lines that emphasized her large round eyes. Making her expression severe as she looked at the young man in front of her.

Turning as a noise seemed to erupt from the back of the shop Keith frowned. “Someone back there?” The shop keep looked worried. Was this seller being robbed? “Let me take a look.” Going to the back where other items were to be sold. Following the noise he saw the statue crumble. “What the…” 

The bits of statue shifted away like loose sand set atop a shifting stone. The once crossed arms swung forward to the sides. Dark tanned skin emerged as fingers flexed dropping the weapons in their clumsy awakening. The armor depicted in stone became real. The faintly painted stone gave way to the blood red and silver metals that shifted dully in the light of the shop. The shoulders shook before coming free breaking the stone across the woman's chest and back.

Fumbling hands reached up and clawed at the stone face till it broke free and a gasp for air was heard. Like she had been drowning. The now living thing moved and more stone fell away as the once very still statue stepped down from its base. Leaving behind dirt and stone. The shopkeeper screamed as the thing moved from its place and picked up what it had dropped.

Having landed in the space mall Keith wandered around on his own as the other’s went to the food court. Walking into an antique shop he noticed a red medallion with a lion carved into it. It was so well done, well carved it was almost life like. Smiling at this he decided to buy it. Purchasing the gem he wandered out caressing the stone gently. “This is… beautiful..”

The stone radiated warmth in his hands that could be felt through the gloves. In the depths of the shop, a loud cracking noise erupted. Something was breaking. It was an Egyptian statue of a woman painted faintly in red. The only earthen looking thing that could be found in the mall. The shopkeep lets out a startled sound as the statue began to fracture and crumble. Another deep sounding crack came from it.
