Galen hit the ground with a small ‘thud’, a bewildered expression on his face before he realized just what was going on. Moments later he’s smiling and running a hand through his mate’s hair, a small chuckle leaving his throat.

“Hello dear~.” No sense in ruining the mood with too many words. Instead he simply brushes aside some hair to kiss Sy’s forehead. These were always interesting moods.

who plays a noble ishgardian? or someone from their own noble house? or even the high houses? I’m just curious what player name noble houses there are. or has someone ever complied them all?

Galen’s patch history thus far.

A Realm Reborn

Main verses: An echo bearer possessing a crystal, he has freshly returned to Coerthas after fleeing as a child. For the time he doesn’t stray far from Ishgard, but highly desires peace so Ishgard can re-structure. He is a bitter man who despises the clergy and spoiled upper classes even if he carries himself with the air of one who is not a bastard child.

At this time he meets many people and makes some fast friends. One of these is Syabelth ( @diamondoath ), who by default will serve as the main Warrior of Light to his verse (although he’s adaptable to other WoLs as well).

Verse split: Dravanian’s Consort The Syabelth he met was named Camus and the dragoon who was assigned to train him. This version, the one he grew close to and fell in love with, was revealed to be a dragon by none other than Midgardsormr himself. Unable to bring himself to slay his lover and now questioning the word of the Holy See, he has become a heretic by definition. The pair remain in Ishgard, hoping to find a way to change it from within.

Heavensward

Main verses: The Warrior of Light has come to Ishgard and has left change in their wake. An over-enthusiastic Galen hunts down a sect of heretics to come face to face with a childhood acquaintance by the name of Paveroux Greystone. As the two catch up and Galen relays his bitterness towards the aristocracy, Paveroux slips magicked dragon’s blood into his wine and forever changes Galen’s life.

Forced to hide his new nature, Galen grows more paranoid and defensive, down to flat out ‘removing’ anyone who might discover the truth. Caught up in the whirlwind of change that has engulfed Ishgard he finds himself siding with heresy for the good of Ishgard and her people: to save the people like him who have suffered at the hands of the Holy See.

He begins to accompany his friend Syabelth on his journey and aids in many battles from this point onwards, using the dragon blood in his veins to his advantage as he comes to accept the truth of the Dragonsong war.

As the war comes to an end, he leaves Ishgard.

Dravanian’s Consort The same as above, but rather than aid the warrior of light he fights alongside his beloved for peace. In the end the two retire to a home in the Dravanian Forelands where Syabelth is finally able to rest peacefully with Galen to watch over their new home.

This verse’s main development ends here, although this Galen still has threads from time to time it is not the main focus.

Stormblood An adventurer who follows his friends on a journey. When it is Syabelth as the WoL he is following the group works to free Sy’s homeland from the empire’s clutches.

Galen has grown to fully embrace his fate as a dragon-blooded Ishgardian and has begun to learn to control his transformations. His excessive drinking has slowed down as has his self-loathing and destructive nature (mostly thanks to the badgering of his friends). With Zaltys’ help ( @dragonsongsummoner ) he’s learning ‘how to dragon’, as he puts it.

In his verse accompanying Syabelth, his friend has begun to talk of retirement and as one of the chosen crystal bearers Galen has offered to take up the mantle of WoL (much to everyone’s concern). Only time will tell if he’s actually successful at this or if his friends will have to kick his ass to keep him in check.

“Hey, I’m neither elezen, nor dragon. I don’t live to be a hundred and something summers. Gotta make use of the time I have and I’d rather it be as pleasureable as possible.”

His eyes by now have adjusted to the dimmer light and Athral makes sure to watch how many doors they pass on the way to the other man’s room.

“Speaking of eagerness though … wasn’t it you who started this? I do remember rather clearly how you were tryin’ to get between my legs.”

“Yeaaa, I’ll do that. In most cases people just smack me away however~. I mean, can’t help it if that kinda bloodlust is a bit of a turn on.”

In all reality he could help it - he just simply chose not to. Athral wasn’t a primal nor was he threatening innocents, leaving Galen to play around in his own fantasies as he pleased. That could mean a dagger to the throat for such careless behaviour but it’d be worth it. Probably.

But as the door closes he makes no move to lock it, rather just tossing his jacket and bag over the desk chair and starting to dig through his things.

“So if you’re in here t’kill me, now’s a good time.”
