He seemed proud. Pleased of himself in only a way that Angel Reyes could understand or comprehend. It was the way the gears in his head churned, made sense only to him and in his sage old ways he'd never explain it. Maybe it was his way of flirting --- with someone he'd sincerely fucked up with, of course. It wouldn't take the usual Don Juan methods of smoldering and simply being (the way the girls at the clubhouse pawed over him, bickered amongst themselves when he chose who to pay special attention to.) Rose knew Angel, the way he worked, they'd seen that gimmick.

It took something new, now. Like schoolyard teasing. If her hair was in pigtails, this was Angel tugging them. Pushing them into the dirt. Being cruel because he couldn't convey proper emotions.

While the boys in the MC liked to joke that Riz was the pretty boy of the club, Angel isn't any better really. There's a lot of time and effort taken into his personal appearance. He keeps the sides of his hair cut faded evenly and often buzzes it (or has a girlfriend / one night stand buzz it for him), he trims his beard regularly, he always ensures his clothes are fresh and well-kept (even if they aren't the nicest looking in the first place), and he always smells of Old Spice deodorant and Irish Springs soap (beneath the haze of nicotine smoke and motor oil, of course).

There's a certain level of vanity or pride taken in his appearance. His fingers are always adorned in heavy silver rings, he always has some sort of necklace on, and his kutte is always presentable.

In short: Riz may be the pretty boy, but Angel is the pretty man.
