“Is there?” the long legged witch walked past the stranger to pull his arrow from the tree. He let out a small hum as if deeply considering whether or not it was a risk being in the woods. “I can’t say I’m really all that scared of a rumor,” he reached back to slide the arrow into the quiver strapped to his back, “Nor do I believe I’d be unprepared if I were to face this something that doesn’t play nice.” He took a casual step towards Aidan, “What about you? Clearly you aren’t out here before you’re worried about that.”
Aidan nodded his head in response to the young man’s reaction to the monster. By the looks of it, he wasn’t scared of whatever lived in the woods, forcing Aidan to wonder if the bow-wielding man was aware of the things that happened outside of regular human knowledge... or even if he was a part of it all. “I specialize in hunting these creatures,” he said, neither hiding nor giving away any more about his job. “It’s a bit of a family hobby. Mother jokes and says I learned to carry a pistol before I learned to walk.”
