The male walked over to the girl and lifted her up from the back of her coat. “Didn’t yer parents teach ya not to bring a knife to height fight.”

Usually, the male didn’t fight children but she had puled out a weapon and what pirate would want to live with the shame of being shot by a child? Not him, that was who. 

“Alright, kid, just don’t go crying to your ma when I beat your ass” and with that the adult got into a fighting position.
