This is not directed towards any one single person, but I keep seeing posts about it in the Tumblr world, and I can't help but agree. As a community, which is what we are whether you agree or not solely based on definition, we need to support one another. And that can come in the form of things as simple as likes, reblogs, comments, memes. You know, the normal stuff we people do on Tumblr.
Maybe I'm crazy, but I feel like this has gone downhill a lot in the past year. I'm sure it's because the world is way more on fire since last November and people are exhausted and adulting is rough and stuff. I understand why it is most likely happening. But I've definitely felt the shift. And I see so many posts of people feeling sad that they don't feel like they can participate in dash commentary, that no one sends them memes, that they feel like a burden if they reach out to someone ooc. And it breaks my heart.
I hope this doesn't come off as negative, because that isn't what I want. I just think that this is our little corner of the universe where we can feel the most seen and supported and safe right now, and for some people this is all they've got. So not having those little things, seeing activity notifications, whatever - it can cause a depressive spiral. (I can do a whole therapeutic breakdown on mental neural stimulation but I won't lol).
So support your fellow roleplayers. Tell them you admire them. Send them random things. Like their stuff. I'm here to be a cheerleader for y'all. We all gotta be cheerleaders for each other. This world is shitty, let's bring light where we can. :)
