One Last Poem For Richard by Sandra Cisneros

I’m haunted by all the space that I will live without you.
Richard Brautigan, from “Boo, Forever” (via thelovejournals)
The final moments of a love are an awful lot like the end of a life. Your chest grows tight, memories flash before your eyes, and the world around you dims and wanes as you fight desperately to keep a dying thing alive. But peace does come eventually. When it arrives, let go. Walk toward the light.
Beau Taplin • W a l k T o w a r d T h e L i g h t (via afadthatlastsforever)
Powerful women are tired of trying for lovers who never try for them.
r.h. sin (via lovelustquotes)
Rob Bell
I met people like storms and people like hurricanes, men like tornadoes and women like warplanes but you were a summer breeze curling the surface of the sea and maybe that’s why I wasn’t prepared for the destruction you left in me.
// of storms and people j.d.m. (via poetryandthesea)
To a simpler time. Where flowers bloomed, and the breeze was soft. When the rain cleansed instead of flooding. And we were younger, careless and dangerously close. Recklessly loving. Where I was yours and you, mine. When that was enough. Simply enough.
“Take me back” remnant-thoughts (via remnant-thoughts)
Until we have seen someone’s darkness, we don’t really know who they are. Until we have forgiven someone’s darkness, we don’t really know what love is.
Marianne Williamson (via thelovejournals)
You are the knife I turn inside myself; that is love. That, my dear, is love.
Franz Kafka, Letters to Milena. (via thelovejournals)

I’m healing, healing from the broken heart I never understood, from the jump my chest made at the mention of your name, the longing late night prose and grasping at the tiles of my bathroom floor. I’m healing, we spend our entire lives doing so. I’d never admit to loving you, maybe now I can. Maybe now I can read what you inspired without feeling the ‘almosts’ consume me. But my heart still hurts and my eyes still ache I don’t think that’s something you get over. I feel so much and I felt too much for you, you are a love packaged in with pain. Thank you, thank you for being a muse to my suffering and just that, thank you for being my suffering. I felt the depths of my heart and without that i’d be unaware of how far to leap so thank you for taking me to the edge. Now I know i’m able to do so without throwing myself off, that’s always the fear, I love heights a little bit too much. You were my cliff, my god I loved you. I jumped day after day until It broke down all I had left to catch me, still hoping one day it would be you
before–you-go (via wordsnquotes)
…Even if you have loved only once in your life, you’re ruined.
Simon Van Booy, Where They Hide is a Mystery from The Secret Lives of People in Love (via wordsnquotes)
suddenly I am a child again running around trying to grab the sound of your voice before the wind steals it
