This song is actually of the intimate context (between lovers), but we can still relate this to those who are very dear to us even in the most platonic manner.

Hereās a song that I like to share to my friends who struggle with their mental health problems. I donāt want to spoil the message for you, guys, but I hope this helps you in reminding you that you are not alone. :)
Just as promised. Hereās one of the songs that make me feel better whenever I feel small.Ā āI wanna be ten feet tall; I wanna grow big red horns.ā This song makes me feel like I can do anything that seems impossible to happen; makes me feel invincible.

Honestly, I didnāt think that Iād gain this much attention from you, guys, since I only started this out of the mere frustration that I have to face one of my biggest fears in order to get decent grades for my last school year in high school.
I only wanted to share my thoughts, and maybe gain some knowledge from my lovely Anons, but I never expected this to keep track of my ups and downs during the first quarter of my English class.
Some of you may have noticed the change in the way that I perceive this subject. I started off as kid who immediately turned her back at her fear, but as the quarter went by, and with the help of your advice and kind words, I eventually learned how to look at my situation positively; it may not be seen today, but for the long run, I know it would benefit me greatly. The fear still exists, however, I try to look at every failure as a new stepping stone that would help me shape and build my confidence enough for me to utilize while speaking in front of a crowd.
Hellooooooooooooo ^_____^ I have been reading your blogs for days already, and all i could say is I AM OBSESSED!!!!! okay, Maybe that was a bit off >____< BUT what I am trying to say is!!! !!! FINALLY!!!!! A TUMBLR BLOG THAT I CAN RELATE TO!!! :DDDD I am huge music fan, do you have any song recommendations that make you feel at ease? WE MIGHT NEED THOSE SONGS. THANK YOU!!! ^U^
Awww! Thank you for that..... sweet message. Iāll be posting song recommendations soon, Anon!
Teacher: *asks about a certain aspect of the presenter's model* Presenter: *effectively delivers their speech in fluent English* Me:
So how's your Oral Com class so far?
Iām so glad you decided to ask me, anon. I havenāt been feeling well lately :( I still feel guilty about that one presentation we had to do in front of the whole class. We had to make our own model of communication and defend it, but my social anxiety got the better of me :( Now, I still canāt let go of the fact that I might have dragged my partner-slash-friendās grades since I was the only one who wasnāt functioning well that day. I couldnāt even pronounce my words right! Ugh. I feel such a complete failure. I think Iāll be carrying this weight on my shoulder just like how I do to the rest of my failed attempts at socializing. :(

Talk about glo ups, huh? I kid. These two arenāt actually my proudest moments since I only got a 92% in the first paper. Believe me if I told you itās a rare thing for me to receive a grade below 93% in a writing activity. Well, I also donāt believe that I deserve any grade higher than that since I was not really confident with my work.
I think I lost my way from writing about a year ago; may it be in a technical manner or not. The passion just dies along with my willingness to write, you know? It kind of sucks, but itās what I get from my inactivity.
I am trying to regain thatĀ āskillā, though, since Iām starting to get sick of the mediocre outputs that Iāve been submitting for the past months. Little by little, I try to improve myself by choosing the right words to use wisely, and to give my papers a more in-depth perspective.
I guess, it sort of worked for my second paper, because, hey, that 3% made a huge difference.
WOAAAAAAH CONGRATS ON THAT 28/30!!!!! YOU DID GREAT!!!! \(^O^)/
AAAAAA THANK YOU, ANON!!!

I didnāt think Iād get such a high score (okay, I now consider this aĀ āhighā score since I havenāt been doing well in other parts of the class) since Iām not really confident with what I learned.Ā

Had another quiz today, and all I can say is-

Hello. Aaaa. I am well-aware that I am not alone, but sometimes, when it hits you, it makes you feel like it, you know? So, thank you for reminding me, notaimeeboboyo! I hope the best for you as well. We can do this! :)
I have a problem.

For the past weeks, I noticed that I can actually do well during written quizzes and tests. However, I still lack too much in terms of my speaking capabilities, thus, my difficulty to participate during class discussions. I donāt know, this bothers me too much since this is an Oral Communication class after all. Plus, this skill is essential to students like me specially with the existence of the research studies I need to orally defend. I still remember clearly how the disappointment started to show on my teacherās face the moment I couldnāt even define the word ācourtesyā in class. I mean, I knew what it meant, but ideas just start to entangle with each other the moment you feel the anxiety clawing the back of your throat, you know? I feel like Iām too incompetent to even exist in this school. This sucks.
I just needed to get this out of my system. :(

I know, I know. Iāve been gone for almost a month now, but lookie! We havenāt reached that āspeech-givingā stage of the class, yet, because weāve been studying the concepts for a couple of weeks now, and look at what I just got for our first quiz! I know, itās not a perfect score, but hey! Itās already a high score for the very least. :D
How about you, guys? What kept you busy for the past month? Let me know! Ā ā”
Public speaking is said to be the biggest fear reported by many American adults, topping flying, financial ruin, sickness, and even death. You may have heard the joke that some people would prefer to be in their own coffins than give a eulogy at a funeral. While this may be an exaggeration, many would agree.
Hereās the site Anon sent me the other day. Hope it helps :)
Decide that you want it more than you are afraid of it.

Hello! About the tips you asked about, I know this site that helps me with my anxiety whenever I face a crowd. I've been following the steps they told me about, and how much have they helped me! I'll be dropping said site's URL. You're welcome! :) I know you're trying your best, and we are so proud of you! Good luck with your class! (Just remove the parentheses around the "." before "org".) Iāll be posting the tips from the website you sent me for the reference of my other readers.
Shift the focus from yourself and your fear to your true purposeācontributing something of value to your audience.
Stop scaring yourself with thoughts about what might go wrong. Instead, focus your attention on thoughts and images that are calming and reassuring.
Refuse to think thoughts that create self-doubt and low confidence.
Practice ways to calm and relax your mind and body, such as deep breathing, relaxation exercises, yoga, and meditation.
Exercise, eat well, and practice other healthful lifestyle habits. Try to limit caffeine, sugar, and alcohol as much as possible.
Visualize your success: Always focus on your strength and ability to handle challenging situations.
Prepare your material in advance and read it aloud to hear your voice.
Make connections with your audience: Smile and greet people, thinking of them as friends rather than enemies.
Stand or sit in a self-assured, confident posture. Remain warm and open and make eye contact.
Give up trying to be perfect and know that it is OK to make mistakes. Be natural, be yourself.
Thank you so much, Anon, for this. Iāll be keeping this not only in mind but also at heart. I know these will help me face my fear of speaking in front of more than five people, and I know that with adequate amount of practice and self-reflection upon each speech I give, I might earn more and more experience points as time passes by. I hope this set of steps helps not only me, but also my lovely followers. ā”
