Inside of the zine complete! Now to make a coverrrrr.
protest no.3 double page.
Free Education Manchester protest no.3 page two.
(Updated with coloured title)
Protest no.3 (3rd double page in zine.)
Protest no.3
Before // after.
Changed title on second double page and added pattern to keep the energy up. I want my zine to look optimistic and positive as the causes behind these protests sit with good intentions and so I do not want them to be portrayed in a negative light.
Slightly changed the composition and added patterns to fill the blank white space. I am still not completely satisfied with this as I feel the layout is very “up in the air” but I need to continue finishing my last double page on the zine, so this could be something which I alter after I have completed all three double page drawings.
THE DAY BEFORE BLOG SUBMISSION
Tomorrow at 4:30pm is the deadline to hand in my blog. I have really enjoyed documenting my progress through Unit X and will continue to post on this blog until the final portfolio submission and the end of Unit X so that it has a consistent start and finish. I also think that it will be very useful in the future to reflect on how I worked on a project with a long time period. I am slightly concerned as I have prioritised different posts, such as guest speaker lectures, to use up a large majority of my word count for the blog, however I have kept up to date with written thoughts, ideas and opinions regarding the project in my journal. I am sad that I have not been able to finish my final outcome before blog submission, however as this is the case with the majority of my peers it is not something to worry about.
Homeless for Justice - Double page/ page 1 no.2 of Zine.
While I like the idea I am not happy with the composition of my zine layouts, which is something I have to think about before I begin printing my zine. I think what I need are little drawings similar to the idea of the tent that will fill the space and give the page more energy.
