The Earth can hold all aspects of us. It can handle your rage, your grief, and your outbursts of joy.

After finishing this piece, I was reminded of Sorrowland by Rivers Solomon. What I appreciated about the book is that it showed that pleasure can be found in the darkest situations. Nature plays a huge role in supporting the main character. Working with instead of against nature can be transforming.
