The Comey hearing was Kamala Harris’ biggest test yet. And she slayed.
Senator Kamala Harris will not be silenced.
A day after Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Richard Burr attempted to cut off her line of questioning at Wednesday’s hearing, Harris again made headlines for her no-nonsense approach to getting answers.
First, she started off with one of the hearing’s rare moments of levity, offering a joke about her and Comey’s time as prosecutors.
“When a robber holds a gun to your head and says, ‘I hope you’ll give me your wallet,’ ‘hope’ is not the operative word.”
But after that moment of levity, Harris asked what many are describing as the most pointed questions of the hearing.
“Are there other meetings or key communications between Trump administration officials and Russians that have been to date undisclosed?“
Harris asked in a series of rapid-fire questions that Comey mostly declined to answer. Read more (6/8/17)

“Don’t label a mother as a woman: a gender can’t decide motherhood.” – Gauri Sawant

She is also planning to start a home for sex workers’ children to stop them from being sold and pushed into prostitution. Her journey consists of struggles, challenges, and difficulties. Her story impacts thousands of people to accept their gender, respect the LGBTQ community, and welcome them into the mainstream.
Some of her accomplishments include:
In 2000, she founded the Sakhi Char Chowghi Trust to promote safe sex and provide counselling to trans people. She encouraged trans people to live a more meaningful life.
For 16 years, she fought for the rights of the five lakh trans people in India.
She was one of the pioneers behind the Supreme Court judgment that recognised transgender as the third sex.
In 2008, Gauri adopted five-year-old Gayatri, whose mother was HIV-infected, to save her from being sold into the infamous red light area of Sonagachi, Kolkata.
In 2014, she became the first trans person to file a petition with the Supreme Court for transgender rights of marriage and adoption.
She is also trying to appoint trans people as security persons outside the gate of Siddhivinayak temple.

MET GALA 2017: BEST DRESSED LIST
Last night was one of the biggest nights in fashion! The annual Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum Of Art celebrating the creative genius of Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons entitled Art Of The In-Between. Typically, the star studded red carpet is filled with celebrities wearing the theme of the exhibition. Kawakubo’s Japanese avant-garde vision is intellectual fashion and was apparently too complicated and artistic for most of the stars. Rihanna, Maxwell and Solange dressed appropriately for the evening – and slayed. Here is my list of the other celebrities who just looked stylish and gorgeous – they WOWed me last night. EW
