Would you trust this little itty-bitty doll of "The Man" around your ice cream? Would you?
Wrote something while mildly delirious yesterday, seems to be a second person (I wish I knew how) account(retelling) of an immortal human getting sent back to prehistory to relive all of humankind again and again
Reading it now, I might have made something pretty fun and I'm going to continue it I think
Finding out I had a curse on me for the last 6 months does make a lot of sense, all that happened between now and then could not be explained through earthly means
I'm not even all that surprised, I knew that it could happen all the way

I took 3 months to translate a 21 pages long short story, that's gotta be a "could only be worse if you actively tried" award
Anyways, third translation, a heavy, HEAVY, one, all due warnings on the front page, a personal favorite of mine, I wish I could just beam it with everything you need into the readers head
(As always, commentary is available to all and heavily encouraged)
Here it be
I can't pretend I expected to (almost) wake up with less of a tongue than what I went to sleep with
Second translation on Josué Guimarães is available, as with the previous one, feel free to use it for whatever non-profit motive you desire
The short story is: "No Man's Land", as the name implies, it is related to war. I chose to translate this one as a short and effective introduction as to how the main theme of my favourite short story of his is treated by the author. (Said favourite story will be next)
(As for sensitive content: death, grief and war are the only notable ones)
"No Man's Land" by Josué Guimarães
Commentary can be added to the file if so desired

I translated one of my favourite short stories from my favourite author into English. It's free, and I will do more commentated translations in the future if any single person expresses interest in it.
Do be warned: this story contains a murder and violence (the murder was justified)
This is the transcript/translation
(If anyone has a better share method other than Google Drive, please say so)
Since I expect no actual traction from this, I left the commentary open in the Google Drive
It's also a little bit of a rough read, the paragraphs are long but the sentences are really short. It's not long as well, so you can prolly smash it in 15 minutes

I miss him right now, I really do. It's been about a month already and I have not been able of taking him off my mind. Normally it'd just be a couple weeks and there would be some general idea of when we'd back but not anymore, but now it's never more
