Okay, Dr. Sydney, can we PLEASE talk about Rupert/Quinn's farmer's (farmers'? ...I'm drinking) tan in his bare ass S2 The Clearing scene? I mean, seriously. His calves are tan, his thighs are like a snowman. These are important issues! ALSO, I don't think he used bronzer in 5.01, FRANGI and... who was it? I think he spent a summer at the beach. He's a rare Brit who TANS. Get with the tanning program, girls. Back to the physician on this very pressing ology medical matter.

⬆︎It looks like our guy was spending some time out in the bright North Carolina sun without protection — and wearing some long-ass shorts based on where the whiteness ends and the color begins.

Bonus: If you can somehow, I know it will be difficult, take your eyes off of his adorable ass and check out his face. Looks like he was starting to crack up once he pulled that gown off. I wish I could have been a fly on the wall during the filming of that scene for multiple reasons.

⬆︎That looks more like a burn, not a tan, to me. So I’m not seeing any evidence here that Rupert can actually tan. 

⬆︎ This looks like a fake tan to me — it’s too blotchy and inconsistent, looking at the top two pics from the same episode. The two bottom pics are from 5.02 — where did all the blotchiness go? And can you see the white around his eyebrows? This almost looks as bad as Claire’s spray tan disaster at the Emmys last year. 

 Summing it up: 

Rupert is a pale Englishman that burns, not tans.

Homeland needs a better makeup artist.

Rupert needs to always wear protection.

Cynthia needs to send more drunk asks!

For anyone trying to overcome the HL/Quinn desaster I can recommend Outlander! I've discovered it recently and it helped me A LOT. I know you have included it in your series for other shows but I didn't really tick any of your boxes back then but still - I love it so much!! The Balfe/Heughan chemistry on and off screen is just amazing and it's so much fun to watch this couple and Claire is an amazing lead female character. The story makes sense and the relationship evolves in a beautiful way!
