gabe is dead so not him ig he can float, i trust natalie to swim because swim meets and stuff and we’ll get to safety and send over someone to help her while she’s floating, and i don’t like the idea of leaving diana in the water i don’t think she could swim so i think i’d take diana (daddy daughter bonding time with dan and nat????)

The saddest thing about Swap Natalie? Her death was SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome), not an intestinal obstruction. While there are ways to reduce the risk of SIDS, it's not something that could be caught the way Gabe's intestinal issues could have been in canon (and were in this AU). It was, well, sudden.
