He hadn’t meant to interrupt the older Galahad’s thoughts but his feet had led him almost automatically to this room. After a whole year of visiting the other man in this room, bringing him books or just giving him some company, it almost felt a bit surreal to see him dressed in that suit, probably about to say goodbye to this room for forever and the Statesman HQ for now as well.
Rubbing the back of his neck, Tequila gave the other man a slightly embarrassed look, “Ah thought it would make things a bit easier for ya… after it seemed lika ya memories wouldn’t return. Ginge’ seemed ta agree with me so…” In other words, yes, it had been intentional. He wondered if this version of his (dare he say it?) friend would take it badly or not…
There was a slight lift of the corner of his lips. It was refreshing to be told the truth and even more refreshing to be able to fully believe it. Tequila from his memory was always an honest man around him. Harry wondered how long that honesty would remain.
“Afraid you might...blow my mind if you offered me editions from the twenty-first century?”
He took a seat upon a familiar small bed and looked up expectantly for Tequila to follow suit as was custom for the two of them. For a moment, he almost looked like the lepidopterist from the past year (albeit much better dressed).
“I never did thank you for your patience with me. I bored you to tears more than once.”
