I am going to delete this blog soon as I am undertaking a spiritual transformation and a lot of the blogs I follow here post content that I’m not vibing with and is bringing me down. I’ve tried to unfollow whoever I see posting it but I’ve had this blog for years and follow like 2000+ people and it’s just too much Work that I don’t want to do and time that could be better spent elsewhere. I’m going to make a new one and follow all the mutuals that I remember, but if I miss someone let me know and I’ll follow you.

logged into this old blog looking for an old picture of me (i found it and it was ugly lmao) and wow i am full of compassion for the version of myself who kept this blog. I had less than zero self esteem after being cheated on and (i have since come to realize) emotionally abused. I was stuck in a dead end weed farm job that i hated, surrounded by “friends” who i now know were nothing of the sort, depressed and frustrated because i had a vision of how i wanted my life to go but i thought it was impossible for me. I was desperately lonely, felt unloveable, undesirable, crazy, and totally worthless. I also really wanted to go to college but thought i was too stupid to keep up with the coursework.

well since then i’ve moved across the country twice, earned a psychology degree (with plans to get a second degree in conservation and wildlife biology but I’m taking a gap year or two - working and studying at the same time is exhausting!), met the love of my life (whose fainting couch i am reclining on as i write this), found work as an ABA therapist that is both fun and rewarding, met some higher quality friends, and most importantly gained some self worth and stopped hating on myself so much. the road to get there wasn’t easy and there have definitely been some really dark moments where i lost track of my values and acted from a place of pain and lashing out at the world, but it was all part of the process and i am now more unbelievably happy than i ever could've dreamed. the life i wanted so badly that i thought i could never have….. well it’s mine now. and since i mentioned the old picture of me i came looking for was ugly i have to say i physically glew up as well.
