Egg Hunt
Azure sized up the ones he noticed eyeing the eggs, he knew he wasnât as fast as his mother, but he could probably get a few ground eyes. he lightly touched his motherâs hand, writing with his finger on the palm of her hand, their way of communication in silence. he told her the eggs he saw and what he was going to do
he and Grace would go for the ground eggs. he wasnât sure about Hriob, but the man could probably scale a tree. his mother was to go after the eggs farthest away, since she was fast and could get more that way
the boy was excited and engaged, it was almost timeâŠ
Genevieve gave the signal to start hunting and watched from the big screen. Mariah took off the second the signal was given she began searching high and low and plucked a few eggs here and there. she didnât stop moving from three to tree. Layfe charged forward after Mariah and broke off from the main âhunting areaâ he began to climb the trees and search vigorously. The other groups that was ready began to search up and down the forest.  The crowd cheered  for the varying groups. Thalia watched up on the big screen that was provided. The worry nagged at the back of her mind to warn the kids not to fight over eggs. She shook her head and simply watched. Cavien mimicked his mate and watched the kids hunt the different colored eggs. He silently rooted for Mariah. Gunther spotted the mass group of adults and steered clear. he crept silently as not to get spotted. After he thought he had cleared it he picked up speed. Hildaâs scales surfaced as she began to pick up speed to keep up with her brother. Once they were clear she began to search around. The groups came back tired but with smiles on there faces because of the eggs collected. The hatchlings however came back with the big prize. Hilda gnawed on the top of the egg. It was something about the color and gleam of the egg that allured her so. Gunther awaited for his sister to open the egg to hoard the treasures for himself.Â
Alan was walking back with Hilda and Gunther in his arms, the golden egg between them. Lucy and Aria were on his back thanks to the help of some plants
every one stared at the fact taht the small children had found the golden egg, despite how hard all of them had looked and searched (and low key fought)
Tyler sat there, mouth agape, how could they have MISSED IT??
there was a few collective groans of defeat, but every one sucked it up and clapped for the little ones who had won
with the game over and the golden egg claimed, the kids began to divide the eggs they wanted and traded amougst themselves and the adults
Alyss made sure to praise Devon for his hard work, and went around trading some of the eggs for different ones, since most of them were candy of some sort
Devon huffed at the result of the hunt. He wasnât happy with his own number of eggs. Being comforted by his mother weakened the wounded pride. He began to trade his eggs with others to get the desired goods.Â
a few of the adults, such as Fujita and Lo, were sulking in their defeatÂ
Al went about trading, and once all the trading was done, the groups began to seperate
some of the people left, most of the kids were corralled into the garden area of the house
many of the adults stood in the dining room or the living room, Al and his group hiding some where in the kitchen
Azure and his mother were some of the ones who left, bidding every one farewell (and exchanging a few emails and numbers with some of the other kids his age) Azure happily took his eggs and gifts and left
