Time is the weirdest scientific anomaly ever... It flies when you're having fun, and drags when you're bored. Summers lasted a lifetime as a child and now, the older I get, months and years go by in the blink of an eye. It's already been two months since I did this climb in Thailand and in 6 days I turn 28. Wtf?! I have 2 birthdays left in my 20s and it honestly feels like I graduated high school 3 years ago... While in reality, it's been a decade. Time is the most valuable asset we have and can't be bought or traded. We need to make sure we're doing the most we can with it and living each minute pursuing our happiness. #tbt to that one time when I ended up on timp after having said yes to a random adventure. All I knew going in to this fiasco was that I would need snowshoes, crampons and avy gear. So of course, I went to @rei. A sales person was talking to me about crampons and asked if I did any ice climbing... Long story short, he told me about the Ouray Ice Climbing Festival and low and behold, @romophobic and I are now saying yes to this next adventure and heading down to Ouray tomorrow to try our hand at some ice climbing. Just finished my first ever experience at the Outdoor Retailer Market. It's been a fun yet exhausting few days meeting rad people in the industry and being continuously reminded of why I love the outdoors so much. But it was my first weekend spent indoors in months and I'm feeling a bit stir crazy... Time to dream about last weekend's backcountry adventure. (at Redfish Lake)

Nothing to do on a Saturday night? Drive 4.5 hours to Zion National Park, take advantage of the moonlight and dabble in some night photography, wake up at 5 am, hike 5 miles to watch the sunrise atop Angel's Landing, eat a frozen breakfast burrito, then drive home.
