Happy Valentine's Day, Mom!
Suddenly I've never felt more lame.
Well, I just figured since your Galentine's Day with Aunt Perri was cancelled, that I'd try to cheer you up a bit.
Roses, obviously, Chocolates, and this.
[So Parker, the little asshole he places a nicely wrapped gift into the lap of his mother, and she stares at it for awhile, of course, after shooting death glares into his soul.]
[She raises an eyebrow at him, and looks down at the package in her lap. Finally the giftwrap is removed, and it is revealed to be a blue ray disc. She lets out a quack of laughter.]
[And so Marshelle King, watches her son mess with the television in front of her. She's shaking her head at the idea, but it was a nice, very nice family moment--one they hadn't had in a long time. So she grabbed her heart shaped chocolate box, and searched for the most appealing one.]
You know it's been awhile since I've seen this movie.
[And though it was true, it was a long time since Parker had seen the movie. It had been even longer for her, as Marshelle refused to watch it throughout the boy's childhood, and only pretending to like the movie for his sake. Given her LAST memory of watching the film, there'd always been a sour taste in her mouth as she sang along with Simba to "I Just Can't Wait to be King". Now all she could think of was how different things could be--HAD her pride weren't relentlessly controlling, she could and would be having a nice, peaceful family movie night with someone else there. And though it wasn't entirely fair for her mind to paint that picture for her heart, she smiled at the thought of what could have been, the regret still settling in. Parker could see this all too well, nevertheless he joined his mother on their two-seater couch, and yes, very adamantly suggested cuddling with his dear old mom.]
