Hello, long time no see \('3')/

I am making this post to update my tumblr friends, as I have gotten asked why I havent finished any pieces or posted new art.

my job literally drained me, so I had no energy to do anything

with this news, I will be taking a hiatus until I have recovered

Long story short:

Not many of you know, but I had thyroid cancer back in 2017. I was able to undergo treatment and the doctors were able to successfully get rid of the cancer.

I was doing fine for these 7-ish years.

Until last year when I neglected my health and prioritized my job. I did not make time for any check-ups. Yes, that was bad on my end

BUT when I did try to make an appointment (and to make it worse) the medical facility that I once trusted, started treating me like I was not a person. They started ignoring my calls, and right when I thought things were going my way, one of the doctors cancelled on me. I was VERY upset and mad. So I said "f-it" and went on thinking I did not need medical attention.

I was able to be seen last month (Aug. 2024) and they FINALLY ran the necessary tests, only to find them abnormal and let me know that I had cancer cells present.

I will be undergoing treatment once again. I am not experiencing any bad symptoms/none at all at the moment, which the doctor let me know was a good sign. But despite all this, I am keeping my hopes up, and staying positive. My dogs, my loved ones and just finding moments to relax and meditate are helping me keep this mindset going.

I cant wait to get back to drawing (specially CaiRai <333)

ok ok let me tell you a thing… 

I redid this piece 4 times and this was the version I was satisfied with. 

I tried to color it but tbh I’m still really rusty so I trashed the colored version.

Anyways here’s my twitter header, sorry it took me so long to finish it (kinda)
