बंद रहने दो किवाड़ों को कि जिनके खुलने से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता घर की दीवारों पर। के जिनके खुलने से ना हिलता है उस कील पे लटका कैलेंडर, न धूल ही उड़ती है रोशनदानों से। ख़ामोश किताबें बैठी रहती हैं टेक लगाए की उनका कोई किरदार ही जी उठे इस मुसलसल चाटती दीमकों से झुंझलाकर कभी, जिन्होंने उसके बचपन और जवानी के कुछ पन्ने नहीं बक्शे हैं। फर्श का कालीन अब कितना भी पटको नहीं लौटा पाएगा उन धारियों को जिनकी वजह से उसे सबसे अलहदा जानकर लाया गया था इस मकान में। बंद ही रहने दो उन किस्सों को की जिनको सुनकर किसी की आंखों पे ना मोर नाचें। मैं तो कहता हूं बंद ही रहने दो उन विचारों को कि जिनके ज़ाहिर होने से कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता।
