I think I remember you posting about low expectations for the force awakens, how did you end up feeling about it?

-Spoilers Ahead-

There was hardly anything new to react to. Whole gig was just a giant parallel to the original series. Dozens of references, easter eggs (especially the scenes in Jakku) and the plot. 

The movie’s main goal, apparently, is to make you go “awww”. And for me, it’s impossible not to when Chewie and Han is back on Millennium Falcon. (they even paid tribute to Dejarik, dammit.) Also I’m still not over how great (sorry for the cliché but, BADASS) Leia was portrayed as a general.

Other than that, I’m not sure and kinda still not interested in anything new they have introduced. I don’t accept this movie as an official part of Star Wars yet. So, I don’t believe all those things have actually happened. (Han’s death, new generation etc etc) So in some sense, I don’t really take it seriously.

But I feel like the next movie will truly suck, because the “awww” strategy will grow old and they will eventually have to give more original content.
