Prayer Focus: Supernatural Grace
Benaiah son of Jehoiada was a Mighty Man from Kabzeel with many exploits to his credit: he killed two famous Moabites; he climbed down into a pit and killed a lion on a snowy day; and he killed an Egyptian, a giant seven and a half feet tall.

Grace is the supernatural empowerment that enables you to do, what you normally couldn’t do in your own strength. I’ve never killed a lion. And I know for sure I would never climb into a pit with one either, much less on a snow day. But Benaiah, this boy was on a mission of justice and nothing was going to stop him. The grace of God enabled him to defeat this wild, four legged beast, as well as other enemies of Israel. Grace steps in, when our natural abilities end.
You might be looking at your calendar for the next year and wonder how you’re going to do everything. You’re looking at your job situation and are at a loss. Or like the man at Bethesda, you’re right the edge of your breakthrough but someone else hijacks your miracle. Today, is your day.
Ask God to release an extra measure of grace over your life. Over every situation you face. “Five” is the biblical number for “grace,” we’re on day 5 of our prayer journey, and the pool of Bethesda had 5 porches. You can’t get away from grace so don’t even try!
