Ironically enough I’ve had a western AU sitting in my writing scraps and ideas for about three months. When I saw the cowboy event dropping I started work on an entire comic (~6 ish pages planned and Mammon and Satan centric) and managed to get this page from layout to sketches to full page done by working non stop over the weekend. So expect the later pages to be coming out a lot later (I promise they won’t be out by the end of the event that’s a GUARANTEE).

Letter Transcript: “Lovely L, enjoy the spoils of another successful hunt! Please do not try to return these because they have “been out of season in Orlais for months”. Lin is getting increasingly tired of having to fence them and I think Ali is running out of neck room. On a happy note, this target had a secluded villa that we borrowed for a night, as well as their clothes (armor can get so bloody, no?) Very scenic and defendable! The cigarras [spanish for cicadas] are getting loud again, we may move on. Rivain? Also, Lin says hello! ¡Ya hablaremos! [Spanish letter closing, meaning “We’ll talk later”] Z” [A different handwriting in the bottom left corner reads “Hi! Please keep the sodding jewelry -Lin” with a stick figure holding jewelry]

I swear whenever I discover a new pencil sketching brush I black out and do a whole piece. Anyway, trying to lineart was (as usual) difficult and blegh, so I got the hint and just left it sketchy.

1. She doesn’t much like the fact that the assassin is using himself as a bargaining chip, reminds her too much of Orzammar

2. Said Assassin is also very fun (facing the possibility of gruesome death on the daily helps you develop some amazing gallows humor)
