Maddy has been waiting for graduation day for the longest time. But now that it’s here, she realized just how nervous she felt now that she couldn’t make the excuse to do homework to avoid actual work for Prescott Industries. It’s not like she didn’t want to take over. She does, with every inch of her heart. She always felt so sure of herself, so ready–but her father’s discouraging words always seem to get the best of her. Even after years of college, years of training, it was never enough for Mr. Prescott. Sometimes she wondered if she’ll ever make her parents proud, even on this simple day in itself.
Perhaps the only thing that could keep her from completely losing her mind was the presence of her sister, Tessa. Her best friend, Camille, who had been helping her into her graduation party dress. And, well, a certain Alexander Hale. Her phone dinged, and she couldn’t help but smile when she saw his text. Maddy made quick haste with her Jovani Black Fitted Lace dress before she and Camille finally made their way to the country club’s ballroom. She couldn’t hold back her laughter when she saw her father talking to Alex. Perhaps he should have asked him to wait a bit outside so he wouldn’t be bombarded with questions by her father.Â
Maddy glided down the stairs towards her father and Alex’s direction. Once she was near, she announced, “Papa, I do hope you aren’t devouring my guest.” Her father, in his crisp suit turned to raise a brow at her. “Alexander here is on business, papa. Nothing more.” She reassured him with a pat on his arm. Her father towered over the two of them intimidatingly before he huffed, planted a kiss on her cheek and then left to attend to the other guests. Maddy whirled to meet Alex’s gaze before shaking her head in amusement. “Please tell me you didn’t provoke him. Any more, and he might suspect something. Or worse, I’ll have found in the news about your dead body in the Seine River, courtesy of my father.”
It was no secret how Madelaine's father hates him so much, not just him, but his whole family. When he was younger, he wouldn't be caught dead in a Prescott party but the last few months changed his perspective of the Prescott. Ever since he got hooked with Madelaine Prescott. Licking his lips, he watched as she made her way towards him and his father. He gave her a crooked smile when she said the would devour because the only thing that will be devoured tonight was Maddy. With her black lace dress, that will be long gone later on. He was planning to give her a mindblowing sex as a congratulation for her graduation.Â
"Don't worry, your father was very welcoming," Alexander smirked, shaking his head, he was definitely not if no one was around, he would have thought the older Prescott would grab him by the throat and throw him outside. When they were out of her father's sight, Alexander looked at Madelaine, "I am a Hale, and he is a Prescott, we are both used to provoking each other." He muttered under his breath before meeting Maddy's eyes, "You look great tonight, I hope you know that dress is meant to be off tonight."Â His eyes run over her body, clicking his tongue as he smiled, he likes what he sees. If this wasn't her party, he would have dragged her in the nearest bathroom and pushed her on the wall, eating her out while she screams his name. "But since this is your party, I can probably hold it a bit longer."Â Glancing at his pants which shows an obvious bulge, he wasn't sure how long he can wait though.
"I do wonder what you will tell your father if he asks you about the business deal," Alex rubbed his chin, waving at the waiter who was serving drinks. He took a wine glass before glancing at the waiter, "Rose for the lady," He can recall perfectly that was her favorite drink, he knows a lot about her favorite things than he lets on. "You received the bouquet I sent earlier?" He asked her, he had personally arranged it with the florist, just like how he had done last Christmas. She likes personal things, things that would let her know that he remembers every small thing about her. It might be her favorite wine, favorite flower, or anything else. Today was her day, he might not have personally known her long enough but she worked hard for this. "Would a kiss on your cheek as a congratulation alarm your father?"Â
