He dialled Shirai's personal phone number, waiting for her to answer.

"It's Raymond," Alex hissed through his earpiece, his grip tightening on his steering wheel as he went over the speed limit by a couple of numbers.

"My father just announced an emergency meeting. Do you have the evidence needed to bury my father? That's the last thing I need to claim the chair for CEO."

He had to put his father down. Gain control of the Raymond Empire and finally change the way the public saw his family name. He was going to fix it. No matter the cost.

Shirai laughed, before slowly huffing and smiling mischievously, "Who am I if not someone who has all records of his wrongdoings~? Oh please." She smiled widely as she sent him the digital files and PowerPoints even of everything, every single crime. Every single wrong doing.

"I owe you, Ms. Krowne, just make sure not to waste this favour," Alex murmured, thankful for her help as he finally stopped in front of the Raymond Industries building, making his way up to the floor where the meeting was held.

He burst through the door, his tie neatly tucked and he strutted calmly to his chair beside his father, fidgeting with the USB drive in his hand. The meeting finally commenced before Shirai made an appearance, coming into the conference room. Alex rolled his eyes, knowing that she would eventually come and watch the whole thing unfold.

Christmas event at Gotham Library opener:

Rin sits by the librarian's desk, scrolling mindlessly through her phone while Christmas music softly plays in the background. The whole library was decorated with pretty lights, and ornaments, and fake snow was painted on the windows.

The Christmas tree was dressed in colourful ornaments made by kids who came by often along with some old decorations from a few years ago when she was still a little girl. The bell above the entrance rang, and a person came in from the cold snowy weather outside.

"Hello, Sweet," Alex smiled at Rin as he entered the library, noticing her scrolling through her phone like she always did when she was spacing out.

"I brought something for the kids. Is Argyle around?" He approached the desk, placing a paper bag filled with packages of toys and art supplies.

"Oh– the art supplies are for you. An early gift for my flower," Alex gently caressed her cheek before clearing his throat.
