The Looking Artist Sessions is a visual celebration, courtesy of five creative minds – Luke Austin, Ryan Fitzgibbon, Levi Hastings, Paul Octavious, and Paul Tuller. These minds were commissioned by HBO to go #LookingFor Patrick, Agustin, Dom, Kevin, Richie, Doris and new character Eddie. The result is a strikingly diverse, character-focused menagerie of both real-time creations released at the moment they were captured, and deeper portrait meditations shaped over time.

Looking Season 2 premieres Sunday, January 11th @ 10pm on HBO.

Stopped Watching Da Vinci's Demons because of the way they handled Leo's bisexuality.

That 5th episode was a story of 1475 told thru a lens of 1995 television being broadcast on 2013 premium cable. It was a mess.

We get better and more explicit queer representation on a conservative daytime soap opera, Days of Our Lives, on free broadcast TV, than we do on a show, "Da Vinci's Demons", about a great historical gay /bi man, on a premium cable network, Starz. 

Five episodes in and between the predatory gays, blackmailing gays, petty vindictive gays, and dead gays, this show is one mincing dandy away from winning Celluloid Closet Bingo. But I’m sure they will feature Leo’s bi-curiosity again. I’m sure it wasn’t just a one episode gimmick meant to gloss over the actual historical record in order to keep accusations of straight-washing at bay.

I don't have anything against shows with no gay characters, in fact i like a good bunch of that shows (even I prefer some gay characters on my shows), but if you want a show with a straight male leader, please don't chose a queer historical figure as your main character. It is as simple as that.

Most unforgivably, they literally did a straight washing scene right after the chaste same-sex kiss. Leo goes immediately to the bathtub to wash off the gay. What a major insult to the gay viewers.

As a gay man, however, I just can't possibly watch you keep on straight-washing Leonardo anymore. It's already 2013 now. No amount of handsomeness and deep V-necks can get me to continue watching this offensive take on Da Vinci.THIS IS 2013 AND ON CABLE, NOT CBS, OKAY? 

How can Starz got Spartacus so right and got this so wrong? Different showrunners I suppose.
