        It was her attempt at a joke thought it greatly flushed her cheeks once the words slipped past.

        Warm brown looked off in the distance, a gloved hand rising in order to shield them from the rays of the sun.

         "The moogles appear to be quite busy today."

          It is certainly painful to remember old friend's who are no longer with us.

Once again Azee laughed and shrugged. “Oh well…Whatever she’s doing, I’m sure she’s happy.”

        Optics nearly missed the shrug, directed away from the young woman as she had turned toward her own inner thoughts. "You can find your own self worth, I'm sure. Whether she is watching or not, to mentor you and be with you - it must be a sign of pride."

Funny. Was there actually someone else that looked like him? Or had the same height?

    True the pubs tended to be quite a boisterous place to be, Steiner nearly having a coronary after the queen had announced she was visiting one in order to wait for Zidane, having argued that their monkey tailed friend should have picked a more reputable location. She curiously peered around at the other patrons with a slight tilt to her head before directing an open lipped expression back on the new visitor.

    "You are definitely new then? I welcome you to Alexandria." Etiquette dictated introductions first be made as she bent at the waist. "I am Queen Garnet Til Alexandros."

Azee smiled more at the comfort, welcoming it instead of pushing it away. This had been the first time in a long time she had spoken about her old mentor, it felt oddly liberating.

"Sometimes I wonder if she’d be proud of what I’ve done with my life, she died before I did anything worthwhile…."

        "Simply living is worthwhile." An image of Vivi flashed before her mind, heart giving a painful lurch within her chest. "Continuing on-- There is probably no greater joy for a mentor than to carry on their legacy."

       Zidane was always better at cheering up others and it was evident with how Garnet felt she was merely causing the young woman to slip further into sorrow.

     Chocolate brows shifted at a tilt, fingers interlacing in front of the young queen as she stared sorrowfully at the other woman. Momentarily struggling with the thought of comforting of a stranger lest she be rejected, Garnet's hand still found it's way to the other's shoulder.

      "Surely she's living on in you as you put into practice everything she taught you? It is the best, we as their students, can do as well as to never forget them."

A slight hitch in her throat, gloved hands rising to cover parted lips. “—Oh, forgive me.” She slowly allowed her hands to drop, lips stretching out into a melancholy smile. “How wonderful that you’re honoring them.”

She chuckled a little, shaking her head. “It’s alright, not a lot of people know, s’not like I make it a known thing.” Everyone just assumes she got them just to have them. “She was a big part of what I am now, so…” There was a small shrug.

          "Many people we interact with shape who we are. It appears your mentor was a wonderful person or else you would not be as kind." In the back of her mind, Garnet thought of Doctor Tot, her mother, Beatrix and even Steiner as role models she had followed into shaping the queen she was today.

        Though she also had many of her friends to thank.
