“Aren’t you doing that anyway? You’re acting like you’re more important than you actually are. You’re doing a better job at standing here and letting me insult you than you are anything else.”

“You think?” She asked, her hand moving to her collar to pull slightly. “It’s uncomfortable.” Alex then said, it was far from the usual type of shirt she would wear. “I don’t even know why I got it.  How do you wear these?”

“Wow,” Alex started, pretending to be shocked, before removing the emotion from her face. “It really, truly, is amazing to see what you think of as important. I would hate to live with your brain every day.”

Alexandria raised her hands before putting them back down. “They’re down, they’re down.” She answered, “Thanks?” It came out more as a question, Alex never trusted people being nice, in any capacity, especially since she was who she was. “I think I got it in New York, it’s pretty shit for training, to be honest.”

Alex tried not to falter in her actions, some of what she was saying could be right. “Nah,” She said, making an action with her hands as if she was waving it off, “I hate to break it to you but I think science might be wrong this time. It’s pure talent.”

Alex tried to give pretend interest, nodding as she listened to Kendall speak. “Right, right, see, I’m really just wondering how you can care enough to remember everyone’s names. It has no benefit,”

“A nice one?” She repeated, “Oh, you must have me mistaken with someone else. I was thinking more honest, but that’s okay.” Alex wove her hand as if she was waving it off. “Important? Like what? Name one thing you do that’s important.”

Alex lifted her arms as she heard him speak. She always found it fun to rile him up, maybe a little bit too much but it didn’t stop her. “I’m just letting you know, you don’t have to agree but what kind of sister would I be if I didn’t inform you of all your faults?”
