“Yeah, I guess. Not many people making me cookies, though.” Ivy managed a bit of a half-hearted laugh, shoulders lifting in a shrug. “The ones here aren’t bad, though. Those, like, ones that you buy in the bakery.” She managed to vaguely wave back toward that section of the store, a little smile tugging at her lips before it fell away, eyes widening slightly at the seemingly out of nowhere offer. It wasn’t really…. a normal for her. “I… uh… That’s nice of you. Don’t even ask for my name before you’re inviting me over. I’m not exactly… good with kids, though. How– uhm– how old is your daughter? No offence but you don’t exactly look old enough to have a kid.”
Alexandra thought that sounded sort of sad, but realistically, no one was making her cookies either. But she made her own cookies, so it was okay. “Yeah, I bought some of them when I first moved in. They’re pretty good. That bakery downtown has good ones, too. Mine are better though. Don’t tell,” she said with a grin. She laughed, putting her stuff down and reaching her hand out. “I’m Alexandra,” she said, introducing herself. “She’s seven. Yeah, I get that a lot. I was nineteen when she was born. It was really young for having a kid.”
