“HAVE YOU HEARD ANY OF THE BAR GOERS SAY ANYTHING ABOUT THE CROWS?” With The Wolf’s Eye being a typical site for different supernatural creatures, and Thea being a bartender, it’s easy to overhear or eavesdrop.
POV: you’re talking to percy and thea and you’re disappointed bc percy is clearly analyzing something else (as always) so thea tries to subtly get his attention

“Have you seen my wife? I’ve been punching above my weight for thirteen years. If I was hypothetically playing the game, Micah, dated her, she’d punch me if she wasn’t on this list. Jenny, she’s beautiful. Thea, she’s very pretty and lastly… Steph, she’s very pretty as well.”

fionn may not be the best big brother in the world. he may not have always been there for thea in the past, but he’s been making more of an effort to change that since losing their parents and then feeling like he was losing her, as well. as much he may seem to express the contrary at times, he doesn’t want to end up all alone. family is actually pretty important to him, and she’s pretty much all he’s got so he can’t afford to let that go. that’s why he’ll reach out to her every once in a while, no matter how busy he is, and why he’s invited her to brunch today; so he can make some kind of attempt at catching up with what’s going on in her life. he’s sat on her couch, watching the minutes tick by as he waits for her to finish getting ready, and although patience may be a virtue, virtuous he is not. “are you almost done in there?” he calls to the closed door, sagging back onto the couch as he lets an audible sigh escape him. “it’s just brunch, not a red carpet event. let’s go, t. i’m starving.” @theahqs
who – alethea / @aletheapierce when – the week between winter break and classes starting, tuesday afternoon where – outside of alcott hall
it’s still way too fucking cold to deal with traipsing through campus. if it was up to lennon, she’d have the first half of the semester exist virtually so she could take classes from somewhere exotic. somewhere like bali or the maldives, anywhere but on the east coast with its oversteeped weather and dreary fashion sense. her morning consisted of taking ages to do her makeup to take a few selfies at her mother’s publicist’s request. something to do with a quota of social media presence that lennon had only half paid attention to as the woman droned on and on. there is so much going on at ogden that she isn’t sure how she’s expected to care if she posts four times a month or not.
by the time she has finished up her chores, the brunette realizes it is well into the afternoon and she has somewhere to be. a jacket is tugged over her arms and she all but races out of her building, practically crashing into something – someone – as she does so. there is little that she cares to discuss with one of greer’s old crones, but one must do what they have to.
“alethea,” lennon coos, touching their elbow gently as she rights them both after they’ve almost taken one another down. by accident, of course. her smile graces her lips with ease. “better be careful with all this ice,” she mentions sweetly. “can’t have you breaking anything…” again, her tone is full of honey and she drops her hand from their elbow. “long time no see. did you have a good break?”
location — cheers! liquor store.
status — for thea ( @theaxharris ).
For probably the first time in his life, Elijah stood in the aisle of the liquor store, staring at an all too vast selection of wines and didn’t know which one to choose. Picking out alcohol had never been a problem of his in the past — hell, he practically came into this country with a drink in his hand and hasn’t put it down ever since. Except, this time was different. As it turns out, picking out alcohol for your parents was an entirely different ball game. He liked to say that he knew them, knew what they liked, but that would be a lie. Really, what he wanted to do was pick the fanciest looking bottle and pray it was good enough, but he didn’t want to potentially spend a fortune on a drink that nobody would like either and then he’d just be left with nothing. Heaving a sigh, he unstuffed his hands from his pockets and reached forward to grab two options. “Hey, excuse me, sorry to bother,” he said, turning to the person beside him. Both a bottle of chardonnay and merlot were held up. “I just need your opinion on which of these screams ‘I love you and I’m excited to have you here, but please don’t judge me for the state of my life otherwise I may have to stick you in a hotel for the weekend’ . . . really specific, I know, but just roll with it.” An awkward laugh left his throat. “Red, white, both or none of the above?”

the day had been long, filled with back to back meetings and annoying clients but when he finally left the office the first thing he wanted was a drink. he was in the middle of fishing through his briefcase for his keys, not expecting anyone else to be around when he walked straight into someone. “will you watc where you’re going?” he asked with a glare. he knew the incident was his fault but he wasn’t about to admit that.
