noda always tweaks and tunes what will go into the volume, most times the differences between the magazine and volume versions are minor and subtle, other times they are huge - like this one, and another one i will do later. i didn’t know that before someone told me and i’m sure a lot of people don’t know either, so i felt the need to have this somewhere for easy access. the translator who does the scanlation for gk said that he doesn’t plan on changing the pre-existing translations, but the volume version of the manga is the one that is considered final canon. please support the author by buying the manga if it’s available in official capacity in your language.

this is the volume version of tsurumi and koito’s first meeting in chapter 197. as a footnote, koito speaks in kagoshima dialect the whole time, and so do his parents, while tsurumi speaks in standard japanese. for comparison, in the volume version of usami’s backstory, both usami and tsurumi speak in niigata dialect.
